Rydjor Bike Shop
DAN ULWELLING
As the owner of the bike shop, Dan is an advocate for all facets of cycling. In the background of the photo to the right, is one of Dan's oil paintings, this one a scene from the Tour de France as Greg LeMond out climbs long time rival Miguel Indurain. Dan currently rides a Team Raleigh road bike and a Cannondale cyclocross. Dan is a member of the Minnesota Wheelmen, and recently hosted the "Official High Wheel Tour."
MICHAEL TISCHER
Mike joined the Rydjor team in the fall of 1989, and with the exception of one year, has worked here since. He is currenly a Law Enforcement major at Riverland Community College, and hopes to graduate in spring of 2005. Although Mike would rather be riding his Trek Project One 5500, he also enjoys a little MTB'ing every now and again, as well as some tandeming with his wife Sue. His plans of getting the '66 Dodge Coronet hot rod done by the age of 30 fell short, but someday. . . . .
DALE VANDENOVER
Dale has been with Rydjor for 10 long years. Tirelessly(no pun intended) riding, wrenching, promoting, or selling the latest and greatest, this 70 some year old guy enjoys all aspects of cycling. He owns more bikes than any two combined employees of Rydjor, including a BMX cruiser, 4 high end road bikes, 1 high end mtb bike, 2 hybrids, 1 comfort bike, 3 recumbents and a bike he calls the “nerd” bike, which is a Coker tire high wheeler. He is also involved with a group called Prairie Visions, an organization for promoting and completion of a local bike trail.
JENS RAFFELSON a.k.a. “YENS”
"Yens" has wrenching since the winter of 2001. Music and movies are on the top of his list of things to do. He cruises a Cannondale F2000 and Nyquist Pro. When he's not working or washing his car, he enjoys the open road on his new Honda VTX. Jens has an eye for detail and does a great job keeping the owners collection clean.
ERIC SNYDER a.k.a. “E”
Eric is a former Rydjor employee and the founding father of our web site. He is a self-proclaimed bike junkie with over a dozen bikes to prove it. His work in the software industry doesn't stop him from putting in a few miles on his Litespeed road bike. When he's in Austin, hanging at the bike shop is always on his list of things to do, as well as chowin' down on “the usual” at Grinder's Deli.
CHAD BURMA
Chad, Chao, "The Chad," The Artist formerly known as Chad......... He's back for the time being, returned to help out the old crew for the summer of 2004....THANKS FOR WORKING BURMA! Chad is an University of Eau Claire, WI, graduate, and holds a degree in Graphic Design. He is a free wheelin' Bob Dylan so to speak, and loves to debate. Bike Mechanic by day and designer by night. He brings the most diverse selection of music to the CD player on a daily basis, everything from The Greatful Dead to Manu Chao! Chad enjoys both on and off road riding and slurping down a malt from STAN'S.
