| Named the "bobby" bike because it was ridden by the police in England. Very long wheelbases, rod operated brakes, 28" wheels and a wide ratio Sturmey Archer 3sp hub make these bicycles quite unique. This design has been imitated worldwide for its utilitarianism and durability. The earlier models had fully enclosed chain guards. |
