The pictures just don't do justice to this bicycle! This is a California
built model with a Campagnolo Super Record group. It has the
early style rear derailleur and two bolt seatpost. The frame workmanship, probably by Mario Confente,
is as good as any custom built bike. It has some unique touches including chrome dropouts, v-shaped cable guides, and countersunk brake bolts. According to the serial number, it was most likely built in 1975 and originally had only a clear lacquer finish for the New York bicycle trade show.
