This bicycle was made in Nuechatel, Switzerland in 1960. The Super Luxe was the second model in Allegro's line with the top of the line Special sporting chrome lugs and component upgrades. Check out the cool seat tube graphic. Allegro put a picture of Rene Strehler, a famous swiss racer on their bikes in this time period. Jack Kemp started importing Allegro's to the U.S. in the 50's and for two years from 1959 to 1961, the Strehler picture was replaced on those imported bikes by one of Bobby Kemp who was Jack's son and a famous american bicycle racer.
