1922 John Pritzlaff |
This was the first bike in the collection. It was found on a farm near Mankato, Mn. It was sold in Milwaukee through a big hardware store. It was built in either Chicago or Milwaukee and distributed at the John Pritzlaff store. It is of the motorbike design with the long, backswept handlebars, fenders with mudflaps and a leather pouch to carry tools. It has the first true clincher rims. They are wood but have a metal channel screwed on to hold the tire bead. |
